Engagement Ring Lost in the Backyard for a Month in Houston, Texas

I was contacted by Brian from Houston regarding his wives lost engagement ring.  Brian said several weeks ago his wife was doing some yard work in the back yard of their home. He said at some point his wife had removed the gloves she had been wearing and her ring apparently came off her finger and landed somewhere in the backyard.

Brian said he had borrowed a metal detector several weeks ago and was unsuccessful at finding the missing ring. He said it was at that point he turned to the internet and tried to find someone to help. Brian said he had tried a few different key searches “”person who helps find lost rings” and after not having any real success suspended his search efforts.

Brian said a few days later he began searching the internet again and used a search phrase “ring finder” and the rest is history.

Brian called wanting to know if I was still helping people find lost rings, and of course the answer was YES.

I met Brian today at his residence and was shown the area needing to be searched. I started working the backyard in a traditional grid search, hitting several deeper targets. After completing a through sweep of the primary area, I expanded the grid, and hit the missing ring on the first pass outside of the initial search area.
