Frequently Asked Questions About Our Metal Detecting Recovery Services

Lost my wedding ring in Lake Livingston, TX, while on the Pontoon boat with family. I thought it was gone forever. My son Googled “lost ring Lake Livingston” and up popped John’s website. I wasn’t sure if it was possible but I called John. In our first conversation he said he was pretty sure he could find my ring. I was hopeful but still nervous, he didn’t know what he was up against, as I felt it was a needle in a haystack. But we agreed to meet a few days later and him and sidekick Carl got to work. We tried to give him as much guidance to the correct location and as time passed I was sure they weren’t going to find it. But after 2 hours John found my ring. I can’t express how deeply grateful I am to these two men. Yes you can replace it, but it was 39 sentimental years of marriage put into this ring. And you can’t replace that! Thanks again John and Carl for all that you do! Lesson learned don’t wear your valuables in the Lake again!!!
Holy cow. I’ve been looking for a way to submit a testimonial because I cannot say enough about how incredible John and Carl were this past weekend. My husband lost his wedding band, and we’ve only been married just over one year. It slipped off riding waves at Quintana Beach in Houston. He was just shattered. He told me he wasn’t sure he’d ever be able to even face the ocean again. Also, as a grad student, he didn’t have the means to replace his white gold ring. I don’t even know how I stumbled across John’s services, but somehow I ended up on Lost Ring Finder’s website, and three days after we lost the ring we were back at Quintana with John and Carl.
It was 8 am and the weather was terrible. Pelting rain, wind, choppy water… I felt terrible for them, but John and Carl were so positive and cheerful. Thankfully the rain calmed down a little, but the sea was still so rough. About two hours in to the search, my husband and I walked back to our car to get a snack. We saw them get out of the water, but they had mentioned they would be taking a break soon so we assumed that’s what they were doing.
But lo and behold when we walked back to check in with them, there was the ring in the basket.
Even if they hadn’t found it, I would have been nothing but impressed with these men and their skills. However, they found the ring and we will be forever grateful. If you have lost something special, all might NOT be lost. Call them right now!!!

Where can we start with this amazing story. Let me just say, I never take the time to leave reviews on anything but this right here is a special case.
I was playing mud volleyball with some coworkers when during a sudden hand movement my wedding band slipped off and was gone out of sight into the mud water. After searching for it underwater with several of my coworkers for about an hour, I was out of luck and it could not be found.
I called my wife and she started searching online for metal detectors but then she came across YouTube videos of people that lost rings in the water and that is how we found the ring finders. John Volek quickly answered and was extremely helpful from the beginning. He made us feel calm and hopeful as soon as he started speaking to us. We decided to meet the next morning at the place where this took place.
The next morning, as we saw John unloading all of his high end equipment, our level of confidence went up as he stated “alright, let’s go find this ring!”. It only took him 30 minutes to find my wedding ring! You can go out there and buy another ring but nothing compares to keeping the sentimental value to it and John made sure that was the case. We will forever be grateful for your service and blessed to have found you. John you are the best!
I live in Omega Bay in La Marque Tx. I had lost a Gold ring with a diamond setting that was given to me by my Dad before he passed away so needless to say it was valuable not only in what it was worth but what it meant to me in sentamental value ! The water in the canal behind my house is murky and has a muddy bottom , when I lost the ring I was just sure I would never see it again.
I was sick for days thinking about the ring, I thought about buying equipment to search for it myself, but that kind of equipment doesn’t come cheap and I had Zero experience in metal recovery and I’m not a diver. I thought long and hard about how I was going to get my ring back, So Naturally I did what most people do today, I googled how to recover a gold ring and came across Johns add, I was sceptical at first but I called John . Now to make matters worse I had a short time frame to work with because my neighbor across the canal was having a new boat house built starting on Monday which meant a large barge and pile driving equipment was coming, so timing was critical, John said don’t worry about it I will be there Sunday by 10 am. he showed up on time and brought with him a substantial amount of equipment , at that point I knew he was for real. In short order John came to the surface holding my Dads ring on his Pinky finger and says” Is this what your looking for? ” I can not put into words the emotions I felt at that moment .
I can not recommend anyone higher, He is good at what he doe’s very professional and has top of the line equipment. So if you have lost something of value and you just have to have it back, waist no more time! Give John a call he get it back for you, He did for me!!! Thanks a Million John…
